DESTINY
If Mass Effect and Halo had a baby
and that baby was raised on nothing but red bull and rainbows, then
it might start to resemble the amazing creation that is Destiny. Bungie
the legendary developer of the Halo
games has teamed up with Activision to create what they like to describe as a “shared world shooter”.
Set on a desolate version of Earth
where the last surviving city of some
calamity called “t he collapse” sits
beneath a giant orb known only as
the Traveller. All that is known is that
when the traveller arrived, it began a
golden age on earth until something
one of three different races. There
are the Humans who are tough and
reliable, the ethereal Awoken both
mysterious and deadly, and the Exo,
undead killing machines. Each race
you will also be able to choose one of
three distinct classes each with their
own looks and abilities. These are
Hunters the roguish bounty hunter
type, a heavily armed and armoured
soldier class called Titans, and the
Warlocks who wield the Traveller’s
arcane energies. There are also a
ton of weapons to be found as well
as different Armours all of which
will be customisable, adding even
from Mars. This is all put together
in painstakingly detailed world that
features some truly breathtaking
landscapes with co-operative and
competitive multiplayer featuring
an advanced matchmaking system.
There is also talk that space travel
is apparently going to be a big part
of the game with a hangar known
as the tower where players will be
able to purchase and upgrade ships
for interstellar travel. By the looks of
things it looks like Bungie is set to
repeat their success all over again
making huge waves with their brand
new take on the fps genre. Destiny

hit earth and tried to destroy all of humanity. The survivors are protected
by the Guardians who draw powers
and abilities from the Traveller. Players take control of the Guardians as
more individuality to your character. They’ll be used to fight the vicious wasteland pirates known as
the Fallen and the Cabal a gigantic
hulk like race who seem to originate
