When I laid my eyes on ‘Amayra’
.. a fantasy photo story book, dedicated to a noble mission of spreading awareness about suicide prevention

You are bold, independent, free-spirited, inquisitive and full of life. You know what you want and why you want it.You are seeking freedom, opportunities to enjoy life: to make love, to go places and to do things. That is life!
Amayra: The Essence Of Life, is the first fantasy photo story book, beautifully illustrated with stunning photographs by Saurav Anuraj. It was released last year (2016) and since then it has been making rounds on social media, newspaper, educational institutes and blogs. It is one of a kind that caught my eyes.
Swati Kumari, the author of ‘Amayra’ has created an unique art for the readers, helping them understand the value of “one precious life”. When she told me about her book, I was quite fascinated to learn more about it, and I must say, the team has done a brilliant work.
The photographs bring out strong emotions in the characters, which gives out a very relevant message:
Time is the true essence of life and suicide is not a solution to any problem.
The aim of this book is to spread awareness about suicide prevention; inspiring, giving hope and courage to someone who is standing in the midst of one's darkest phase of life.
While I am amazed the way this noble project has been executed, I wondered how great it would be if the ‘mission’ of the book finally achieves its “true purpose”.
