Encounter with Himalayas
o picture this crazy situation, you are given a key. A key to a treasure house with a condition, you are allowed to enter the treasure house only once for some limited time. Curious, you enter the house and you see all glittery pieces of jewels, boxes loaded with precious gems, antiques lying there just to be picked up by you. But wait what you are doing, instead of grabbing maximum with both of your hands; you are calling someone for help. Strange! Why on earth would someone seek another person when they themselves can do it easily?
Yes, I get this exact thought when I think of people who don’t travel solo. It is like you have such a treasure to explore and you are dependent on someone else to accompany you. Well, you are given this beautiful Gift of Life, wherein you can admire the creations of almighty, loosen yourself and mingle with the nature, but you are resting in your nest waiting for someone else to fly with you. Why? Are you scared to go alone? If you are wondering would you be able to Go Solo, let me tell you a real story of an ordinary girl like you and me, who decided to travel for herself.
So this all began with the quest to see the world with different eyes. She was consumed by desire to explore in her own ways. She always wanted to touch the soul of the place, explore its culture and feel the people. But there were hurdles, sometimes it was lack of company, sometimes budget, whereas sometimes the major concern was her safety. But then she realized she was trapped in a prison, created by her own hands, to the day she finally dropped the chains to run free and fulfill crazy dreams. She decided to go solo and break all stereotypes. She came to know about a Trek – “Kashmir Great Lakes”. Moderately difficult, this trek covered an average of 10 km each day on luscious emerald green mountains, in quest to explore seven grand glacial lakes in various hues of blue. Unaware of the splendors of the nature, she decided to hit the road.
Like any other girl, her major concern was safety and security. But when it comes to solo expedition, awareness and management is the key. She gathered all the necessary information like weather, conveyance, food, stay and culture. She cross checked her itinerary and plan.
There is no filter on your experiences. Travelling solo broadens your horizon and gives you a perspective for lifetime.
