An additional change that could be made to improve the event further would be to invest in a generator. To avoid the cost of this, the decision was made to play music using power from the Bowls Club at the top of the park. However, it was difficult to hear this from the start and finish line as noise complaints forced us to keep the volume low. Therefore, to create a better atmosphere in the future the music would be moved down to nearer the start line.

Age UK Sheffield loved the event and have said that they want to repeat the event next year because of its fundraising potential and sustainable event model. People aged between 2 and 75 took part in physical activity which promotes the charity’s objectives of people of all ages having a happy and healthy lifestyle. There are multiple opportunities to increase the attendance level by maintaining the same marketing materials to keep brand image. Increased participation can be accommodated by extending the event to include more races and the long-term aim would be to eventually move locations to Rother Valley Country Park which is larger in size.
