Ticket sale numbers evidence successful social media marketing. The boosted posts had the desired affect; Eventbrite page views spiked during these periods. In total, there were over 1200 views on the ticket site and 90 paying competitors, nearly doubling the target of 50 entries, indicating the event appealed to the target audience. There was, however, an unexpected trend in ticket sales. The GO TRI race saw consistent levels of interest and sales. In contrast, sales for the family race were very slow but there was then suddenly an influx in interest close to the event, and tickets sold out very quickly. This could not have been predicted but should be considered as a future growth opportunity.
