“ Did you hear Stacy is back with her boyfriend?”
“ I thought he treated her like shit?”
“ My girl told me that he does but she would rather be with him then be alone I guess.”

Alex did not know what to say. There was some truth to what Damian had said. This made Alex mad, but he justified not being with her by saying that he did not like Stacy’ s personality. In reality, he did not want to be with Stacy because Bella was simply more attractive. He knew that Stacy would love him and care for him, but he did not want that. He wanted someone who couldn’ t love him. He enjoyed chasing after Bella and pleasing her, in hopes of one day being with her. He ignored every other girl that showed any interest in him, almost in a rude manner.
