Mortal.
I know I’ m simply normal, Just a mere mortal.
I know I’ m not as beautiful Or as gorgeous as the rest,
But I know that I’ d Spend all my time
Getting ready to look my best
And make sure you’ d be proud to have me
On your arm.
I know I’ m simply normal,
Just a mere mortal.
I know I’ m not thin, and I know I’ m not a size two,
But I know I’ d give you A great big hug When you’ d need one.
I know I’ m simply normal,
Just a mere mortal.
I know I can’ t run fast, Or jump high,
But if you ever called out for help,
I’ d jump fences and run fields
To make sure you were safe.
I know I’ m simply normal, Just a mere mortal,
I know I’ m not so confident, and I know I don’ t have a high self-esteem Most of the time,
But I know I’ d make sure
You’ d never feel the same way I do,
And I’ d love, take care and put you Before myself.
I know I’ m simply normal, Just a mere mortal.
But I know that If you asked for a star,
I’ d give you a constellation.
If you asked for a river, I’ d give you the ocean.
I know that I would give you my all,
But you won’ t even give me a chance.
I hope one day
You’ ll give me flowers on Valentine’ s Day
And say“ I love you.”
And not on my grave
And say,“ I wish I had the chance
To love you.”
I hope you don’ t realize this too late, Because I’ m just a mere Mortal.
