I run upstairs into a closet to hide in. I look for something to defend myself with. I find a wooden bat in the corner with my name written on it. The man opens the door and I swing at him with the bat. He falls to the floor and I push the lady out of the way. I run my way downstairs to escape. I pull the door, but it won’t open. “Honey grab him!” The man snatches me and I struggle to break free. The lady injects a needle into my neck. Slowly I lose strength in my body. The man and lady tied me up to the bed I woke up in. “Call the doctor! He’s never gotten this bad.” The lady said as she weeps with tears running down her face. The man is on the phone as I wrestle and yell to loosen the ropes. He hangs up. “Son, please stop. We love you. Calm down.” His eyes were no longer filled with insanity. Her smile was no longer on her face. But his eyes, her smile, were mine. I laughed and yelled as they stood their crying. Blood flowed through my eyes.
