Tied Together
You, me, and the person in the car next to you at a stop light
Intertwined indefinitely
Without our knowledge
They dip their feet into our very own existence
To say a friendly hello and a swift adios
We all live with one single expectation
In the end, we all ache to be caught inside the tangible warmth of love
We are programmed from the day we are born to chase this goal
Attainable for some, unattainable for most
Where we all fall, is a beautiful balance of everyday synchronicities
The moments we fall in deep lure with, the split second of shared love affairs with
a melody, with a smile, with a jargon of words being uttered by another human
being
Happiness is not a place to arrive to but much rather the entire destination tied
together
