My Angry Father

15 years old
During hard, tough times,
I'd come home scared
and all my bodyshaking, trembling in fear
walking past that doorstep,
awaiting my punishment
for those short stories I had wrote
about my angry father who did nothing
but scream, fight and say threats.

My mother would be
waiting for me by the neighbor's house
