hen I was 11 years old I was very sick and stayed
in the hospital for 23 days. At that time a nurse
treated me. She gave me medicine and follow up
my health condition and she fed me special food, chocolate,
juice, and she was close to me and to my family. She found
my family problem. At that time my mom was very busy and
she was pregnant with my brother. Therefore I need more
treatment. She told the all staff my problem. My appetite
decreased and no one knew the cause of health conditions.
She was the one who found the causes. I was surprised
what she did for me. I wanted to be with her and I love what
she did for me. Also I didn’t forget her name. Her name is
Meseret.
y dream is to become a nurse. My family and
teachers ask me, “What do you want to be in the
future?” I said, “Nurse.” “Do you like science?”
“Yes.” They said, “Be strong and study science.” From that
time until now I want to be a nurse in my homeland. I didn’t
get the opportunity to study to be a nurse but here I studied
home health aide. And I want continue to study nursing.
To study nursing I have to know English very well because
nursing is a very hard course and interesting. That why I
prepare myself by studying English at Carlos Rosario School.

ivil rights and dreams are very important to me
because I think these help to make an interesting world. Every day people must fight to
become true their dreams. Dreams in our lives don’t
have a purpose and civil rights can help us to make
our dreams come true. A good example of this is Martin Luther King. He did not need weapons to make his
dream come true, only civil rights and his voice.

y dreams. I came to this country because
I have a dream too. My dream is to learn
English, go to college to be a chef and have
my own business, and help my family and other people
that need me. I can do it! I have civil rights and I will
use them to make my dreams come true.

he people there can have benefits from the
agriculture, for example they can grow
vegetables, fruit, olives, and olive oil and
they can export them to different countries. Also
my country is between two seas: the Ionian and
Aegean. The seas are clean and full of fish so
people can export fish too. I will have to finish
my studies here and go back to Greece to make
my dream possible.
