My Customer Service Class
Helped Me to be Patient for
My Passenger

O
ne day after I completed my Customer
Service Cass at Carlos Rosario Public
Charter School a male passenger flagged
his hand on 1200 Pennsylvania Av NW and
I stopped my cab at the corner for him. But
instead of opening the door and getting into the
cab, he started doing something on his smart
phone. When I said “Come in, Sir”, I didn’t get
any response. I said to myself, “What is he Digital photography. By Arturo McFields.
doing? Is he playing with me? I should leave. He is
wasting my time.” But suddenly I remembered what I learned in my Customer Service Class
and I changed my mind by saying to myself again, he could be a deaf person. I kept waiting
even though other drivers put a lot of pressure on me to go. Finally, the passenger came to
the front side of the passenger window and when I opened the window for him, he held out
his hand with his smart phone and showed me his destination on his phone screen with his
request “Could you take me to Gallaudet University on 800 Florida Av NE?” I said OK and he
entered and I took him to his destination. This is just one example of many benefits which
I got by educating myself with help of Carlos Rosario Public Charter School.
