teams to interact with one another, let

African Americans have fought a
treacherous battle for their rights in
the United States. In the 1960s, they
rallied and protested to have their
voice heard in the legal system. But
100 years before that, they battled
their way to be treated as human.
Now, 152 years since slavery was abol-
ished in America, Jordan Peele has
instilled that fear back into the Black
Community amid the presidency of a
racially insensitive leader.
In his directorial debut movie, Peele
introduces a mixed-race couple, with a
White female antagonist and Black
male protagonist. The movie revolves
around a Black photographer who
decides to spend a weekend with his
White girlfriend’s family in the coun-
tryside. However, he soon realises that
there is more to his family than just
typical racism.
Being a satirist, Pele manages to create
a issues that are true and turn them
into psychological nightmares, making
you paranoid if these things are play-
ing out in real life.
He uses events that are close to the
lives of African Americans and exag-
gerates them to show the problem of
White Supremacy in America. It por-
trays the helplessness of Black men in
the US, especially when faced with the
law.
So watch Get Out to understand what
White Supremacies might be doing
these days.
