Speaking of that though, how sweet it was to see one of the country’s
legendariest (yes we can make up grandiose words when it comes to
referencing anything to do with Kram) bands like Spiderbait invite the
effervescent Steph Gilmore on the main Valley Stage with her guitar
and play the party classic Ça Plane Pour Moi by Plastic Bertrand,
interwoven with some bars of Wipe Out. Yeah Steph you killed it!
In the backstage bar afterwards, Steph told us how much she enjoyed
her first moment axe-shredding to the masses - “I was a little bit
nervous though because I hadn’t seen Kram for about four years and
we got here and I just had 15 minutes to practice it with them before
they went on,” she laughed.
And what about her friend who kept running on stage in random acts of
dance and then running off again? - “Haha – she was actually running
over to me to keep pulling the hem of my dress down because the
guitar was making it ride up and it kept going up, so she was dancing
as she did it to try to not give away what she was doing!”
A mini dress may not have been the best choice considering all the
photographers front of stage below, but it was a pretty cool one –
