“After getting them developed, I went back straight
away and got my favourite blown up and framed.
Everyone who saw it would comment and froth on it.
Back then, not many people had good quality, well
composed line-up shots of their breaks, so I was
stoked and think this really contributed to sparking
something inside.”
With a certificate in civil engineering and a day job as
a civil designer, Peter found he was in high demand
for work, and his lifestyle was burning him out. A
move to the Sunshine State became the solution
and he moved from New Zealand to Maroochydore –
undoubtedly growing up seeing magazine spreads of
the points firing in Noosa helped the decision along.
