Haha yeah, in Australia when you’re on the road
it’s always been watch out for kangaroos. Over
there it’s watch out for deer, and porcupines
... and locals with firearms. We certainly saw
some really strange places, where you did have
to have a cautious eye looking back behind
you. Towards the end of the tour we ended up
back in LA, parked in South Central, and the
locals there really warmed to us - after a while
it was like the whole town knew who we were.
I was in Detroit once, it made places like
Serbia and Los Angeles look so normal and
safe. America has some pretty extreme
cultural, or rather class divisions - did you
get immersed in any of that?
