And you did a stack of shows with a stack of
bands, but it’s pretty intense right? How do
you cope with staying on the road, being so far
away every night for such periods?
Haha the tour hasn’t finished, the tour just
continues ... some of these bands had joined this
tour, and had already been on the road for you
know, 7 months or so. There are a few bands there
that were up to 155 days straight on the road,
away from family and friends so. And that’s the
thing, a lot of young musos will come up and ask
On the road in the USA
me about things, but I always maintain that you’ll
never have someone just come up to you and give
you an instruction manual telling you this is how to
be in a band, you have to learn the hard way. Yeah
it’s gonna be fun, but you have to learn the hard
way and yeah it’s gonna hurt too.
We know that on every tour there’s always a
couple of moments, a couple of near-miss
situations and the like - did you guys have any
sketchy situations or dangerous encounters?
