COBALT CHLORIDE (IONIC BOND)

"Cobalt chloride paper is used to test for the presence of water leaking through tiny cracks in pipes or porcelain. When water is present, the test paper goes from blue to pink." (American Chemistry Council, 2013)

Is Solid at room temperature.

It is soluble with water.

As it is an ionic is a good conductor of both electrical and thermal conductivity.

HYDROGEN (g) (H2) (NON POLAR COVALENT BOND)

As it is odorless, gas at room temperature, nontoxic gas to the atmosphere, lightest, and the most flammable gas, they are used for multi-stage rockets.

Gas at room temperature

It does not dissolve very well, but it can be concentrated.

It has no electrical conductivity.
