In August 2017, we had just completed a self-study for our 2018-2025 reaccreditation period. It's hard to believe seven years have passed since then, yet so much has happened in that relatively short span of time! COVID certainly left its imprint on us (and every other school in the nation), but God continues to use those challenges to further strenghten us as a school community.

Going through the process of completing a self-study for accreditation is admittedly a LOT of work for everyone, but the accreditation process reveals so much about God's faithfulness and encourages us to continue to remain focused on the mission of Christian education. All the hard work is always so worth it!

On October 20-23, a team of four educator professionals from other ACSI and MSA schools like ours will be visitng with us. They are already in the process of reading through our self-study and viewing the hundreds of pieces of electronic evidence that was compiled to support the findings of our self-study.

Their three-night (four-day) visit to our campus will focus on meeting students, teachers, parents, board members, staff members, administrators, etc.

They will write a summary of their findings during their visit that is then submitted to ACSI's Northeast Regional Accreditation Commission. That commission meets in December and makes the final determination about our reaccreditation status and the major goals they will direct the school board to address during the next accreditation period.

We addressed all five major recommendations given to us for our current accreditation period: 1) To develop a plan for systematic increases in employee compensation packages; 2) To provide training and orientation for new board members to help understand the board's primary responsibilities related to strategic planning and the school's financial stability; 3) To engage all stakeholders' input to develop a strategic plan that includes financial strategic planning; 4) To develop a comprehensive guidance program to assist students (i.e. college planning); 5) Develop a technology strategic plan.
