THE LION'S ROAR

NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2022

Flourishing Faith

We want to get your help on an exciting event in the life of our school. Our school is participating in the pilot study for the Flourishing Faith Index in conjunction with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), which is our primary accrediting agency. This study will help us gain insights on our school culture that can inform our future planning efforts, as well as provide evidence of our school’s unique strengths. This kind of information is extremely valuable for us during the re-accreditation process.

We are asking Cornerstone parents and alumnit to complete this survey..  Depending on how long you spend thinking about the questions, it should require somewhere between 20-30 minutes for you to complete. In general, your first impression is the most accurate, so there’s no need to over-analyze individual questions. Your response will not be tracked to you personally, so please don’t worry about anyone judging you or being offended by your honest insight.

GET CONNECTED!

Did you know that the Cornerstone PTFA hosts a private Facebook group for current members of our CCS community? We invite current parents, grandparents, and grown-ups raising our CCS students to join  Cornerstone Family Connection.

We are hoping that this group will be a place for connection, fellowship and support.

A TIME TO HONOR VETERANS

Mr. Refsneider Shares about Honor

Each year "Mr. R" honors his brother in arms who did not return from his deployment by wearing his own uniform for Veteran's Day. During our secondary chapel, Mr. R shared about the meaning of the word "honor. " Not only do we honor those among us, and honor God above us...Luke 1:4 tells us that God Himself desires to honor us at His table.  As Mr. R shared, don't just walk by the table and grab snacks--sit down and fellowship, and enjoy the honor of our Lord.

Kindergarten Thanks Veterans

The Kindergarten class honored veterans by coloring thank-you pages. They sent a few pages and a special video to one student's father who serves our country.
