CCS Helping CES to Help CCS

  • Charitable Giving Matches

  • Many companies generously match the charitable contributions of their employees, and some may also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

  • CES was established as a separate non-profit in order to facilitate these types of matching grants.

  • To find out if your company has a matching gift program, check with your company’s Human Resources office. Your Human Resources department will provide a matching gift form to complete and mail to Cornerstone Educational Support, Inc., 903 Main Street, Manchester, CT 06040, or email to [email protected].

  • Company matching programs give your donations twice the impact!

  • Qualified Charitable Distributions

  • Taxpayers who have already reached the age of 70.5 years or older may plan on making their charitable contributions directly from their traditional IRAs via qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), thus possibly reducing their taxable income. With other age restrictions being considered, these donations might also count as required minimum distributions (RMDs). A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from the traditional IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity, such as Cornerstone Educational Support, Inc. QCDs are counted for the tax year in which they are taken and (if meeting the additional age requirements) might also count toward satisfying that year’s RMD. Disclaimer: Neither CCS nor CES are accountants or lawyers, and this is not tax or legal advice. You will need to talk with your tax and/or legal advisor to see if you qualify and to learn how current federal and/or state tax laws affect you.

  • Spread the word about CES by sharing their weblink at https://www.cornerstoneeducationalsupportinc.org/.

  • Follow CES on Facebook and like andshare their posts!

  • Share a testimony. Send an email to [email protected] sharing your testimony of the impact that CCS has had on you and/or your family. Testimonies are great for sharing with potential donors!

  • Let’s show our collective thanks to CES by helping them to help us!

Cornerstone Educational Support, Inc. (CES) again agreed to be an Incentives Sponsor for our fall service-first fundraiser. We are so thankful for the creative ways that CES helps to support our school! In recognition of CES’s support of us, we want to show our gratitude by taking time this month to highlight some important information about CES.

As a public charity 501(c)(3), CES is responsible to pass the public support test. This means that CES needs to receive funds from numerous “small” donors throughout the year. (CLICK HERE for more information on this regulation.) Consider helping CES reach the public charity support test for this year by making a year-end donation to CES. These are some additional ways you can help CES to help CCS:
