Grade 5 Visits the Springfield Science Museum
Think back for a moment to your elementary school days. Can you recall any memorable field trips? We love how field trips bring learning to life for our students!
Grade 5 recently had a great experience at the Springfield Science Museum. Don’t just take our word for it, though! Read what the students had to say for themselves!
“In the museum, we did a lot of cool things. In the Planetarium, we felt like we were actually at the planets. Next came the electricity workshop where we learned about static electricity, touched a Venn de Graph machine, rubbed our heads on balloons, and connected electrical pathways. In the last workshop, we made a chemical reaction and a cup of chemicals and stuff almost exploded. Then we walked around and saw animals that used to be alive that got stuffed. The October 8th Springfield Museum was one of my favorite field trips ever.” — Vivian B.
“On Tuesday, October 8, my class traveled to the Springfield Science Museum and had the most incredible time! We first went to the planetarium and saw all the planets from hottest to coldest. After that, we walked to the electricity workshop where we mixed chemicals and watched our work explode. Afterwards, we walked around and saw real-sized animals, plus a T-Rex that was 20 feet long. When we left, I hoped to come again with all my friends.” — Riley P.
