American Ninja Warrior (ANW) is a competition where athletes race against the clock to conquer various obstacles. At each qualifying stage, the playing field is whittled down and competitors advance as they complete increasingly grueling obstacle courses. Faith competes in the World Ninja League (WNL), which is an elite series of ninja competitions that are geared toward the best athletes in the world.

Every year athletes from all ages compete around the world at competitions hoping to qualify for the WNL World Championship and/or audition for the TV show American Ninja Warrior or American Ninja Warrior Jr.

Faith began ninja training two years ago, joining the team squad last fall. Faith is part of Windsor Ninja Academy’s Junior Squad. In her first year of competition, Faith is ranked #1 in the Mature Kids Female division, most recently receiving first place in the New England Regionals Competition in New York. Faith has been invited to complete at the WNL World Competition in April in Austin, TX. We are so proud of her!

This competition year, Faith has won seven first places, two second places, and two third places. The Ninja community is like a second family to us, and we are so grateful for their friendship and support. Faith is excited and looking forward to her first World Competition with the ultimate goal of being on American Ninja Warrior Jr in a couple of years!

CCS Student News: Faith Padilla, our American Ninja Warrior!

Submitted by CCS parent, Diane Padilla

In February, the majority of our high school students attended an out-of-state basketball tournament, missing two days of school. This provided the perfect opportunity to provide extension and enrichment opportunities for the remaining students.

On the first day, the students participated in a variety of on-site enrichment opportunities organized by our teachers. Students created colorful poetry and political cartoons.  A few favorite activities included a hydraulics lab and a few interactive history games (and, of course, a chance to order out for lunch!).

On the second day, the students attended the University of Hartford (UHart) School of Communication Media Day.  The morning was full of hands-on workshops that allowed the students to explore a variety of production topics such as lighting, podcasting, and even creating their own news broadcast! After lunch, a UHart student took us on a guided tour of the campus. Our students asked some great questions and learned about things they are looking for (or not looking for) in their future college choices.

It was a great way to spend two days together!
