THE LION'S ROAR
5
Our Grade 4 students recently led our elementary chapel time. They shared the message of God's salvation. They began by acting out Paul and Silas's deliverance from prison as told in Acts Chapter 16. Next, two students (Sadie and Giuliana) shared the Gospel message.
We love to see our students step out of their comfort zones, practice skills like public speaking, and honor Christ!

the perfect class pet
What makes the perfect class pet? The combination of cuteness and learning opportunities...and the absence of the mess!
This year, Grade 1 adopted a cow through the Discover Dairy program.
Our students were matched with Liberty, a Holstein calf at Fort Hill Farm, right here in Connecticut! The students received an update letter with photos of Liberty, her mother, and the farm. The updates also include educational tidbits about dairy farming and Liberty's needs.
Ms. Burchfiel shared that the students are enjoying this process and are learning a lot. The extra lessons that are provided are a bonus!
sr. health class serves
On January 9th, the senior Health class spent the day working at the Midwest Food Bank in Manchester. The trip was part of the "Serving Community" section of their course. The students and Mr. Refsnider spent the day loading tons of food into cars, vans, and U-Haul trucks that serve the needs of our local communities. The students "felt" the high level of a day's hard work. We anticipate visiting the Food Bank again in the future.
