GUIDANCE: DON'T MISS THESE PARENT AND STUDENT MEETINGS
Attention, families with students in Grades 5, 8 and 10! Mark your calendars and plan to attend these important Guidance Sessions designed to prepare parents and students for the next year and the years ahead. Mrs. Press will be designing these meetings to provide resources, tools, and information that will equip you and your child. Attending these meetings will ensure that you and your child can take advantage of the guidance-related services that Mrs. Press provides.
While these meetings are specifically designed for these grades, all parents are welcome to attend any of the meetings. We know many of you like to plan ahead! Additionally, we will be opening these meetings to the public, so feel free to bring a friend!
Thriving in Middle School at Cornerstone, March 7th at 6:30 p.m.
This interactive workshop is designed for students and parents/guardians to attend together. The purpose will be to prepare and equip students and parents for the transition across the parking lot! Cornerstone-specific information will be shared, including information about our program, homework expectations, and more. General information about navigating the 'tween years, middle school, and high school preparation will also be presented.
High School: Starting Strong, March 21st at 6:30 p.m.
This interactive workshop is designed for parents and students to attend together. Students finishing Grade 8 will learn important information about Cornerstone's high school program. This will include post-high school planning information that begins in the freshman year.
Sophomore Post-High School Planning Night, April 18th at 6:30 p.m.
Current sophomores should consider this a mandatory meeting. This meeting will set the stage for the next two years of post-high school planning, including the college selection and application process. In order to fully take advantage of our guidance resources, students and parents must attend this meeting.
