THE LION'S ROAR
DECEMBER 2021
National Honor Society
by Meisha Sullivan
On Thursday, November 18, students and teachers gathered in support of this year's new National Honors Society inductees. The existing members of the NHS, Norah Snellenberger, Sarah Snellenberger, and Meisha Sullian, performed a candle lighting ceremony featuring the four pillars on which the prestigious club was founded: Leadership, Scholarship, Character, and Service. Each year, students who meet the required GPA have the opportunity to apply for the society. The Faculty Council then reviews the applications, and students who show exemplary leadership skills and have invested sufficient hours into service within their communities are selected. This year, Madison Chen and Cityra Lee, were inducted for their outstanding acts of service and leadership. (We are thankful that we have such great students who are using their gifts for Christ as they serve the community and lead others around them.)
