DB Schenker continues
roll out of digital platform
with addition of air
services
D
B Schenker has continued the roll-out
of its Connect 4.0 online portal, adding
air and sea services to the existing overland
offering.
The platform was launched at the end of
August 2018 for land transportation in
Germany and Spain, and DB Schenker has
now added air and ocean services.
Customers can use the online platform to
also ship airfreight from all over Germany
to top export destinations. By Ocean,
customers can ship to 50 countries on door-
to-door basis covering thousands of port
combinations.
The connect 4.0 platform can be used
to generate a quote in real time, get an
estimated delivery time and also manage
freight consignments. The platform can also
use the platform to track goods, as well as
create and distribute consignment reports.
