The Dubai Maritime City Authority ( DMCA ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) with the Federal Transport Authority - Land and Maritime in support of the integration of the UAE ’ s federal and local government entities . The move seeks to establish common regulations for promoting the maritime licensing system according to the highest international standards in order to help reinforcing the status of Dubai and the rest of the UAE among the world ’ s most prominent maritime and logistical centers . The signing was witnessed by H . E . Dr . Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi , Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Federal Transport Authority – Land and Maritime ; and H . E . Sultan Bin Sulayem , Chairman of Dubai Ports , Customs and Free Zone Corporation and President of DMCA .
The agreement was signed by H . E . Abdullah Salem Al Kathiri , the General Director of the Federal Transport Authority – Land and Maritime , and Amer Ali , DMCA ’ s Executive Director , during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development in Dubai and
