Surf’s up
Surfers of all ages were nothing but smiles at
Inverloch Beach in Victoria recently at an event
hosted by The Disabled Surfers Association of
Australia (DSAA). DSAA is a voluntary not-
for-profit organisation dedicated to getting
surfers with disabilities back in the water.
Ground-breaking launch
DPN Casa Capace held a launch event to celebrate the start
of construction on new housing for people with disability
in Sydney in February. DPN Casa Capace aims to scale the
model to more than 700 homes Australia-wide in five years,
in partnership with institutional investors and disability care
providers to help meet the growing demand for Specialist
Disability Accommodation.

Autism Conference Series
Autism SA’s 2019 Autism Conference Series was
attended by 400 delegates at Morphettville
Racecourse in Adelaide. Delegates heard
from internationally recognised presenter
Michelle Garcia Winner, the founder of Socially
Thinking®, who presented strategies to
improve social competencies that can be used
in the classroom, clinic, home and community.
