“ The cattle are just a part of their lives ,” Bret said . “ The dedication and work ethic they learn through showing cattle translates over to every other area of their lives . It ’ s been rewarding to watch them grow .”
In addition to having a chance to work with family members on a daily basis , Bret said he feels blessed to wake up every morning and do work that is his passion .
Despite having a primarily commercial customer base , the family is no stranger to the show side of the cattle industry . The Begert ’ s career in the seedstock industry kicked off when Bret turned nine years old and has continued through his children , McKinley and Boone .
He believes there is no better industry to make a livelihood in .
