“ He ’ s an excellent manager , he ’ s excellent at the matings ,” Sisemore says . “ He ’ s just an excellent breeder of Limousin cattle .”
Elmore echoes the same level of regard for Sisemore , as he said there ’ s no one better in the business to work for .
With people like Elmore helping steer the ship , Sisemore can ’ t help but be excited for the future of the ranch and it ’ s genetics . He said the business has been incorporating new technologies and breeding strategies to help secure the quality genetics they ’ re known for .
From artificial insemination to embryo transfer , Sisemore said technology has certainly helped the business stay at the top of the industry . He hopes to continue to breed top notch quality seedstock and plans to introduce more of his livestock into the showring in coming years . Sisemore said a few of his animals have already found success in the showring at the hands of the Elmore girls , so hopes are high for future progeny of the P Bar S Ranch herd .
“ We want the best genetics , the best bloodlines we can find . And then we ’ ll start selling and promoting show calves ,” he says .
In the 30 years since Sisemore first started his journey with the Little Ranch with the Big Genetics , the cattle herd has grown in size , quality and notoriety .
But one thing has certainly stayed the same . P Bar S Ranch never has , and never will , stop working to promote the best genetics in the cattle industry .
