“It’s truly the efforts of the entire family that
makes Symens Brothers succeed,” said Warren
Sy-mens. “No single part of the operation
will work without being a part of a cycle that
utilizes all of our talents — from the field to
the pasture to the feedlot to the plate.”
In recent years, the addition of a hoop barn has
further improved feedlot operations, and a shift
in gestation dates may allow the hoop
barn to be used for calving, as well.
As the family celebrates its 40th anniversary
production sale in 2020, the business may
continue to change and evolve to meet the
current demands and drivers of the industry.
However, a few things will remain the same
— tried and true Limousin bulls will continue
to be offered at Symen’s Brothers. LT
At the production sale, bulls are
viewed on a video screen instead
of working them through the ring.
And as always, data collection helps
to improve genetics and provide
information to their cus-tomers for
making sound buying decisions.
At every level, Symens aims to improve,
adapt and innovate in order to produce
exceptional Li-mousin genetics for
themselves and their customers.
