Head to Denver in 2018

Denver here we come! The National Western Stock Show( NWSS) is January 6-10, 2018 and the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress( NJLSC) is July 14-20, 2018! Both events will be held in Denver, Colorado. These two events are where the Limi Boosters raise money to provide a gift for each junior member who attends the junior national show, fund scholarships, sponsor the Limousin Beef Cookoff, and support state grants.
The NWSS is such a wonderful venue to showcase our Limousin cattle, breeders, and juniors. There is no other show that has the Yard pen and carload shows, plus the Hill show. If you have not attended the NWSS, I strongly encourage you to do so before the old stockyards are torn down and rebuilt. The schedule of events is available at www. NALF. org. I especially want to highlight that the NALF Annual Membership Banquet & Genetics on Ice Auction is on January 8, during the NWSS. If you have a live or silent auction item that you would like to donate, please contact me, one of the Limi Boosters officers, or the NALF office. Thanks for all the support you provide the juniors.
I sincerely hope you have started planning to attend the 2018 National Junior Limousin Show and Congress“ Christmas in July” in Denver, July 14-20. I’ m extremely excited to attend a junior national show without humidity!! How about you? I know the Colorado host committee is hard at work planning“ Christmas in July” so mark it on your calendar.
On behalf of the Limi Boosters and our Limousin family, we extend our sympathy to Julie Ochsner, Limi Boosters treasurer, on the recent loss of her father. I did not personally know Julie’ s dad; however, I know how he and his wife raised Julie and for that I know he was an amazing man. Our love and prayers go out to Julie, Kevin, Caitlin, Ashlyn and Collin.
