most interesting, was seeing
the younger members watch
and learn from the senior
showman as the day progressed.
As the week continued into
the bred & owned shows, one
thing the judges all commented
on was the depth of quality
represented. Competition
was fierce with every class
of both Purebred and Lim-
Flex cattle and were talked
extensively by the judges.
Congratulations to all class
winners, division champion and
reserve champions, as well as
the overall grand and reserve
champions. I also would like to
take the chance to congratulate
all the juniors and their state
associations that participated
in the cow camp, team fitting,
public speaking, and the
judging contest. I feel these
educational events are one of
the reasons why so many past
junior members are successful
leaders in the beef industry.
shown by the junior members

feel honored to be part of this
organization and have the
ability to call them my friends.
Lastly, my first NJLSC experience
was great and I look forward
not only to Springfield next
year, but many more junior
nationals down the road.
Good Luck and God Bless. I
Wrapping the week up with the
All-American Limousin Futurity
and NALJA awards ceremony, I
would like to congratulate Dean
and Beverly Summerbell for
being named Honorary NALJA
Members. The commitment
and warmth that they show
is something that represents
what it truly means to be a
part of the Limousin family.
On that note, I would like to
conclude with my observations
from the week that gives me
great hope for the future of
our breed. First, the acts of
cooperation and teamwork
