Have a wonderful Memorial Day! NALF Mourns the Loss of Neal Schou Neal G. Schou, 77-year-old Vinita resident, passed away early, Thursday, March 29, 2018. Neal was a graduate of School of the Ozarks, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Southwest Missouri State University in Animal Science. Neal was a commercial cattleman who was not after any fame or glory in a trade journal or show ring. He wanted to help the rancher who may be about to lose a ranch that had been in their family for generations by adding 50 lbs. to each calf at the market, make the heifers they held back give more milk, or give the offspring a better disposition. Everyone who met Neal had a desire to try and be a better person. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and we hope they know what a powerful influence he left for many people. He leaves behind his wife, Christine, two children and one granddaughter. Written by Randy Wassom. I
