ILC Feature
publications and it is obvious
the Ochsners are committed to
the Limousin breed. Their three
kids are equally as passionate
about the breed, building
Limousin herds of their own and
looking forward to participating
in their 11th Junior Nationals
this year in Denver, Colorado.
The family is also excited to
serve as a host ranch for the
International Limousin Congress
(ILC) during a tour of the Greeley
area. Kevin noted, “Weld County
is one of the top ten agriculture
counties in the entire United
States. In this one county, we
have everything from irrigated
farms growing corn, alfalfa
hay, and vegetable crops to
commercial cow/calf operations,
seedstock operations and the
largest cattle feeding operation
in the world.” ILC participants
will certainly get a sense of
the diversity and scope of
agriculture in Northern Colorado
and will see several segments of
the beef value chain during their
visit to Greeley. The ranch plans
to have cattle on display, share
some of the history of the area
and talk about the way their
seedstock and beef business
complement one another.
We hope to see you out at the
Ochsner Ranch for a fun and
educational experience! I
