The Fuchs interest in Limousin was based on
Gary’s grandfather’s appreciation of the cattle,
who started breeding Limousin in the early
1970’s. Today, Gary Fuchs and his family breed
approximately 100 females, mostly all Lim-Flex. Specifically, for the cattle, I remember the
excitement with every generation change in the
70’s and 80’s as we moved from 50% to 75% and
then we got to the 87% Purebreds. I myself was
greatly interested in having a few Fullblood cattle
and using embryo transfer to increase my herd.
This Cameron, Texas Limousin ranch started in
1978 and is a family run operation. Gary and
