President’s Message
On Your Behalf

Welcome to the September
2017 edition of LIMOUSIN
TODAY®! I hope you all had a
great summer. I seem to think
every season is my favorite, but
it is refreshing to see the days
get a little shorter, nights get
cooler, and the fall cattle work
gets closer. It is always exciting to
see the calves start growing and
really gain during September.
I just returned from a very
productive August NALF board

meeting. We handled a lot of
business on your behalf, but our
main focus was the adoption of
the 2017-18 budget and being
fiscally responsible. We have
spent many years investing in
the breed with goals of growth
and marketing and feel those
efforts have paid off in many
ways. This year, our focus is to live
within our means and still serve
our membership in an effective,
professional manner. The board
and staff realize we are a service
organization and we work for
you, the membership.
Best of luck to you that have
a fall calving season or will be
participating in the fall show
season. As we enjoy each
season of the year, one thing
remains constant; we have
a wonderful breed of cattle
that is a fit in many areas of
the beef industry and the best
group of people making up
the NALF membership. I
