As most of you may be aware of by now, NALF is losing a valuable asset and great young man. Joe Epperly is leaving NALF for a wonderful opportunity to manage the cow operation of the storied Wagonhammer Ranch in Albion, Nebraska. Joe has been a dedicated and hardworking employee the past seven years and we will miss him tremendously. Through his guidance and knowledge, he has been instrumental in the upgrade of services now offered by NALF. That list includes the incorporation of genomicenhanced EPDs, implementation of a new registry system, conversion to SNP parentage, and he was instrumental in NALF’ s move to IGS for our international multi-breed cattle evaluation, just to name a few. Much of this change would not have been possible without him. Luckily, we have been able to retain some of Joe’ s services on a contractual basis as we move to BOLT over the next year and continue to upgrade services available for Limousin breeders. I can’ t say thank you enough and wish you nothing but success in the future, Mr. Epperly. I
