2018 Limousin Breed Market Summary Report
Cattle markets for the 2018 year exceeded most
cattle price expectations, on average. Prices stayed
near or above the 2017 year, which was a very
positive sign for the cattle industry as we headed
into the 2019 calendar year. Demand for Limousin
and Lim-Flex® bulls and females remains strong as
we have seen an increase in private treaty sales.

2018 Limousin Breed Market
Summary, an annual report
compiled by LIMOUSIN TODAY.
The data and information
used to compile this report
have been taken from all the
sale reports submitted to the
magazine and does not include
private treaty sales or sales not
reported to LIMOUSIN TODAY.
The 2017 calendar year saw a
slightly lower than exceptional
averages than the 2016 year
but then saw an increase from
2017 to 2018. The 2018 year
saw a bull sale average decrease
of 1.31% and a 7.37% sale
average increase for females.
A total of 2,072 Limousin,
Lim-Flex, and Fullblood bulls
were sold in 2018 for an average of $3,759. The
females averaged $3,872 on 1,380 head sold.
The information provided here is intended for
