testing to sale day. To this day,
working the pens with that crew
is one of my favorite memories
from CSC. I knew as my junior
college days were coming to an
end, that my undergrad college
education was going by way
too fast and I couldn’t slam
on the brakes hard enough.
The world kept spinning and
the brakes weren’t working.
As I finish up my time on
campus at Oklahoma State,
my mind, like many other
peers, keeps going back to
one question, “am I ready?”
Am I ready to be the leader of
an agriculture chapter? Am I
ready to teach a full classroom
of students? Am I ready to
be solely independent? Am
I ready to not have a college
student schedule? The answer
to all of those are eventually
going to be yes. Whether we
know it or not, we are prepared
for most of life’s questions.
We may not understand the
solution at this stage, but when
the time comes, we will.
With this in mind, we should
never be afraid of what the
future holds for us. Looking
out that vehicle window
should never scare us. The joy
of the ride is the goal of the
ride. Because the fact of the
matter is, no matter how hard
we try to slow down, we’re
still going to be moving at
what seems like 70-mph. With
only one certainty, the brakes
aren’t going to be working, so
we should sit back and enjoy
our own 70-mph ride. I
