In our Constitution, the Surrey Sculpture Society has three aims:
- To promote communication and interaction between sculptors.
- To organise exhibitions of members' work.
- To encourage and promote education in, and appreciation of, sculpture.
It was therefore with great pride that we organised our Sculpture Showcase for 2022 with the aim of achieving all three!
Like any other exhibition, our indoor event at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington, is an obvious opportunity for our sculptors to exhibit their work. However, it is also a great delight to offer activities at this event which fulfil the other core aims outlined above.
This year, we used three activities in particular to do this.
