I was locked down in my studio all that time but now that they are all done, I can relax. The only problem is - I can't remember how to do that!

Just over 3 years ago I decided to retire as the pain in my hands was quite bad some days - however, the pain is bad anyway, so I thought I may as well carry on doing sculpture. Little did I realize that sculpture commissions were like buses in that you don't get any for ages and then three come along all at once!!

And finallly...just a little bit more news. I was invited (totally out of the blue) by RSA to apply to be a Fellow and although at first I did nothing about it, they contacted me again and explained why they wanted me: "This is in recognition of your contributions to British art, through your figurative and portrait sculpting, highlighting powerful changemakers."

I applied and am now very proud to be FRSA. Thank goodness that I plucked up the courage, in my late 40's, to join the adult education sculpture classes run by Carol Orwin in Guildford as it really is thanks to her perseverance that I have achieved so much, in spite of me still always making the same mistakes before doing things properly.

Best Wishes
