The Leonardslee Garden Exhibition

written by Caroline Wheaton and Abby Martin

The Surrey Sculpture Society has been organising exhibitions for over 25 years and, with the help of our experienced volunteers, we are proud to have exhibited in some stunning, world-renowned sites.  But what happens when we go to a new site to set up a sculpture trail?  What challenges and hurdles do we come up against?  We asked experienced manager and our Deputy Chair, Abby Martin, about her experiences as manager at our recent exhibition at Leonardslee Gardens.

But first some background to this wonderful location…. Referred to by some as the “Finest Woodland Gardens in England”, many would be surprised to know that up until very recently, it was feared that this magnificent garden would be lost to the public forever.
