I try not to be precious about my overall design, since not everything translates well from a photocopy into reality. Having said that, my basic design always stays intact; my anchors have never had to move to another spot. I think if I allow that to happen it would become messy!

Welcoming the General Public - Spreading the Word! Earlier, we pointed out that one of the benefits that many institutions and galleries see from hosting virtual exhibitions is the increase in visitor numbers as they access a wider audience than those within travelling distance of a given physical venue.

We have proven this in some respects by ensuring that all our members and anyone who has previously bought from one of our shows has been mailed the link for the exhibition.

The real bonus of a digital show should, however, come from social media and the prospect of our members and their social media contacts sharing the exhibition to others – viral transmission in a positive sense for a change!

The Sculpture Showcase Virtual Exhibition will run until 27 April.

Please spread the word!

NOTE: It is usual for the Surrey Sculpture Society to host a preview of the exhibitions for members, patrons and friends. COVID restrictions did not prevent this from happening with the Sculpture Showcase Virtual Exhibition: Caroline and Henriette hosted the Preview through a video conference, which was very well-attended. Some artists were invited to talk about their work in the Exhibition. Click on any video on the left to learn more.
