Three years into its startup Theatre program, West Limestone High School is staking out a new space for student creativity to shine.

In the three short years since its modest beginnings, the Theatre Department at West Limestone High School hasn’ t sent any of its student alumni to a Hollywood casting call or to New York’ s Broadway stage. So far, it hasn’ t even launched anyone toward pursuing one of the theatrical arts as a college major.
Well, at least— it hasn’ t yet. But as the program has grown and entices more first-time student actors to tread the boards, it’ s tough to hang around its current mix of enthusiasm and talent without suspecting that sometime, and at some point, more than one of these kids might find themselves equipped with the experience and confidence to complement their innate acting gifts in a way that extends their careers far beyond high school.
