When Jack had moved into this house he moved in remarried, well kind
of remarried. Kathi, a woman of artistic abilities and
Jack a both-feet-on-the-ground engineer were set
up on a blind date by a shared friend. According to
the stories I’ve heard, Jack arrived in his red Toyota
truck and dressed up in a conservative jacket and
coat with a sleek tie. Kathi apparently took one look
at him and acted like she wasn’t home. She finally
realized she was hungry, and thought she should at
least go and get a free meal out of the affair. When
Kathi finally came out of her house Jack’s thoughts
were somewhat mutual but his were a bit blunter.
Jack’s thoughts were, “Holy cow, don’t set me up
with this hippy!” They went to dinner at Lou’s
Rendevous and had a great time. They found it easy
to be themselves while being with each other. Later
in the night Jack asked what her favorite sport was,
she said hot tubing. Jack told her he had a hot tub and that’s where they really
hit it off. (this picture isn’t of their wedding.)
Finally after years of being together Jack and Kathy decided they should
get married. Before they found each other they had had formal, planned
weddings and decided they didn’t do that again. So kathi walked down the
aisle in jeans, t-shirt and a mosquito net veil. Jack stood next to her in a multipocket vest and camo pants. They had a great time at the wedding and it
wasn’t traditional at all. This just goes to show all you need to have fun is that
one person that makes you happy. They lived together with many cats and
loving hearts towards one another. You never really heard them say it all the
time, but you could see it; how they looked at each other, how they acted, and
the look in their eyes really said it all. They were very special people to many
and were very friendly people. After Sharon he had lived the rest of his life
with Kathi. Then the day came the when he was going down his stairs
connected to his deck; he tripped and fell.
