The Life of Jack Gibbons…
Jack, oh where to start; I guess we should start at where his life began.
Jack Milton Gibbons was born in Camas, Washington on March 4, 1934. He
was an only child until he was 16, when his parents had a daughter, Donna
Jean Gibbons.
His little sister was a
just another great new
part to the Gibbons
family.
He grew up
loving many things
including, Easter. Jack
loved it as a kid and
still loved it when he
had children and a
wife. He really enjoyed the process of preparing the dye and he best
appreciated the eggs that were left long enough in the dye to turn them a
deep, dark color. He also had a knack for helping his kids find the last few eggs
when they were stumped (seems he and the Easter Bunny were tight buds.)
He and his kids still hunted eggs together long after they grew up and were
mature adults, well adults. Jack spent lots of time
with his kids when he could. He would go on trips
with them, help with homework, teach them things,
go fishing; he really loved them with all of his heart.
His kids names were Shannon, (the eldest) Leslie,
(the middle child), and John (the baby of the family.)
He also adopted a few of his children, but
information on them is uncertain.
