About The Author
Lilia Q. Gibbons
Lilia’s life all started in 1999 where she was born in a city somewhere in
China. Her mother wasn’t able to love and care for her the way a baby deserved
and needed; so she left her in a safe place for an orphanage to find her because of
course there was a law about how many children you were allowed in China, and
at the time it was quite strict. So the first few months of her life were spent in an
orphanage. About nine months after birth and being at the orphanage she was so
fortunate that a loving family had decided to adopt her. In 2000 the married
couple got into the car and dropped their other two lovely daughters off with
their cousins to go camping and they boarded a plane to come get Lilia. From
Oregon they had to travel a really long trip, all the way to China! Lilia was only
one of the five girls my mom and her friends adopted that day. I still get together
with three of the girls, every October. We call the get together a China girl party.
One of the girls doesn’t come to the parties because she moved far away. Lately
the parties have been a bit weird; I guess the parents haven’t exactly got the idea
that the girls aren’t always going to be the babies they had once adopted. You can
kind of tell by how they act with us.
As Lilia got older she grew up as a loved, disciplined, and stubborn child like
any other young girl; that just means she grew up right so far. She’s grown up
with all girls, but that doesn’t affect her favorite activities, guns, four wheelers
and bow and arrows. She didn’t need boys in her family she had her dad and that
was enough. Her dad’s name is John Oren Gibbons, her mom’s name is Lisa Maria
Ganio, and I almost forgot her sisters, Sarah Joy Gibbons and Claire Elizabeth
Gibbons. Her sisters may be her gender but if you ask Lilia they were not the
stereo typical loving sisters every cartoon makes sisters out to be. In fact her
sisters were a complete pain! Even though they were a pain, she wouldn’t trade
them for the world, well maybe the world but nothing else. When Lilia hit the age
of four her parents got in many fights and later those fights got really bad and
