BRYCE HOMES INTERNATIONAL
BRYCE HOMES INTERNATIONAL was founded by Understand The Times,
International (the ministry of lecturer and author Roger Oakland) as a program to
assist Christian widows and children around the world. The program is in memory
of Bryce Oakland (1974 - 2001), Roger’s son.
In 2011, Lighthouse Trails
partnered with Understand
The Times to help widows and
children in Kenya, Africa. The
Kenya Bryce Home program
currently has 33 Bryce Homes
(four of the families are now
self sufficient). Several homes
have been built for widows
who were in dire situations
when they became part of the
Bryce program. In addition
to new homes, monthly food
supplements are given to the
Bryce Homes in Kenya. Other
needs being met include edu-
cation costs (there is no free
public school in Kenya), Bible
